What is solar energy?
Solar Energy is simply the process of converting light and heat from the sun into electricity. The electricity can be used to heat buildings, heat water, power vehicles, and many more household appliances. Solar Panels are used to capture the suns light and convert into usable power, the two types of solar panels are Photovoltaic and Solar Water Heating Collectors. Photovoltaic panels transfer the suns energy into electricity; Solar Water Heating Collectors absorb the suns energy and use it to heat water.
Solar Energy is a form of renewable energy, which does not use fossil fuels to create power, such as gas, oil or current electricity methods. Other types of renewable energy include Biofuel, Biomass, Geothermal, Hydroelectricity, Tidal Power, Wave Power and Wind Power.
