


World Green Building Week
From September 20th to 26th 2010 World Green Building Week will take place in countries across the world. The event has extended from Green building day in 2009 which aimed to increase the awareness of Green buildings leading up to the COP15.
Due to the success of the original Green Building Day the event has been extended to a week long event. This year the World Building Council is also launching a special report “Tackling Global Climate change - Meeting Local Priorities”.
The aim of the week is to create awareness of the benefits of green buildings including the impact on the environment and even increases in employee productivity (Michigan State University)
Events are taking place across the world including:
Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, United Kingdom.
In the UK the City Hall in London will play host to the UK’s contribution to the event. Including guests such as the Mayor of London.
